CAT Crew is a prevention leadership group at Wilmington High School that empowers members to make a positive impact on their peers and community. Any student can get involved by contacting a counselor or a current CAT Crew member.
Tobacco Free Teens is a group of Wilmington Middle School students who learn about the risks of tobacco products and develop activities to prevent tobacco and e-cig use among their peers. Students who are interested in becoming a TFT member should talk to the principal or a WMS teacher.
The Wilmington Coalition Scholarship is offered annually to a graduating senior who has demonstrated leadership skills and made a difference for fellow students and the community. Contact a WHS guidance counselor or WCHC office to get an application form.

CAT Crew and TFT members benefit from education and training provided by Cebrin Goodman Teen Institute, an award-winning program that offers opportunities for teens around the state to learn about leadership, healthy choices, and working with others to improve communities. The program is partnered in Illinois with Operation Snowball, which promotes cross-age teaching and peer helping.
Text-A-Tip is a crisis texting hotline designed to help youth 24/7/365 by texting “476-HELP” to 1-844-823-5323. Licensed counselors from the LEAD organization answer the texts and respond within minutes.
